A Lancaster couple is pleading for a donation that could help them improve their quality of life.

What You Need To Know

  • Couple seeking liver donor
  • Lancaster Schools employee, Brian Lorentz, diagnosed with non-alcoholic cirrhosis
  • Couple postponed wedding until donor is found

Kari Nowak and her fiancé Brian Lorentz were scheduled to the tie the knot this October.

However, a health condition as well as the pandemic forced them to postpone their nuptials. Lorentz has been diagnosed with non-alcoholic cirrhosis of the liver. He is now seeking a liver donor with the following criteria: good health, Type B or O blood, and 5'10" tall or taller.

The family asks for anyone who fits those criteria to consider being a liver donor.

One can call the family's liver donor coordinator at 585-275-5875 or visit the Brian's Hero Facebook page.
