Several projects are in the works at the former Bethlehem Steel site in Lackawanna.
They include extending a bike path from the site to nearby Woodlawn Beach State Park and there would also be a sign that documents the site’s history.
While developers are working to make this happen, they say the biggest changes will happen underground, including bringing water, sewer and public roads to the site to make it easier for companies to move to, and build in, Lackawanna.
Site developers say that this is all part of a bigger plan.
"The master plan is focused on shifting away from the heavy industry of the past, the steel mill, and it promotes a cleaner, advanced manufacturing park for light and medium intensity industrial uses," Project Consultant Gary Palumbo says.
Some of these projects could kick off this year.
