“We're just so excited. We're just so happy to be back," said Tina Lindquist, Hot Bodies Tanning owner.

Hot Bodies in Jamestown was back open for business Tuesday, complete with all the proper safety guidelines.

It has been officially closed since March, and has suffered financially during the cold and rainy months when the demand is high.

"We lost out on the huge busy season that helps us go through the slower season. And I felt bad for all my customers who wanted to come in and tan," said Lindquist.

"It's been a long time off. It's up to all of us to do our part to make sure the guests are safe coming in," said Andrew Carlson, The Chop House on Main owner.

Carlson is preparing to reopen Wednesday evening after COVID-19 shut his restaurant down for three months, after just opening weeks prior.

Chef Burke Lindquist back in the kitchen, as Carlson works with management to go above and beyond state safety guidelines.

"The restaurant business is part of our family. And everybody's got to eat, you know. So it’s something that, just to feed people and see the smiles on their face when they get a great meal is something that's really near and dear to my heart," said Lindquist.

The Chop House has been sanitized from top to bottom, tables will be six feet apart, and guests will be asked to wear masks until they're seated.

Servers will also wear masks, as they return to work after a few rough months.

"It's been very tough. We've made a commitment to them that they have a job and can pay their bills. To go to them the next day and say, ‘I'm sorry guys, you're laid off,’ was a very tough thing to do," said Carlson.
