A lot of schools were closed Friday, and what better way to celebrate a snow day than to go sledding.

For some, it’s the first time they’ve been able to go all winter.

One mother said they had to take advantage of the snow day because with the way this winter is going, this might be their only chance to sled.

“We are used to having so much snow continuously so we really have had a mild winter so getting out here and finally enjoying winter, it’s great,” said Nichole Kessel.

The roads might be a little dicey as snow continues to fall, but the hills are in great condition for sledding.
