Excite the imagination and delight the senses with what has become one of the most popular events at the Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens, Lumagination.

In its 10th year, the theme for this year’s event is Earth.

This is the third installment of a four-year series featuring water, air, earth, and fire.

There are interactive exhibits highlighting tree roots, with other rooms dedicated to crystals, fossils, and rocks.

Phil Colarusso, the show’s producer for the past six years, said this event shows how much Buffalo is growing.

“This is a part of Buffalo’s renaissance, and any of us that chose to stay in Buffalo is a part of Buffalo’s renaissance,” Colarusso said. “It’s good for the city. It’s great in the middle of the winter time to have an event like this where you can kick the snow off your boots and come into this tropical environment, feel the warmth and experience the light and sound of Lumagination.”

This event is also helping ring in the Botanical Garden’s 120th anniversary.

The show is extended this year and will run until February 29. More information on the show and tickets can be found here
