Waiting at the Buffalo-Niagara International Airport with young kids just got a little easier.
Fisher-Price on Wednesday unveiled new life-sized play structures in the terminals that are designed after their iconic toys like a Rock-a-Stack, the Chatterphone, Thomas the Tank Engine and more.
Chuck Scothon, Fisher-Price’s general manager, said this is the first airport to get these life-sized structures because they wanted to give back to Western New York.
The company started designing the toys last spring and modeled them after life-sized Fisher-Price toys at a mall in Minneapolis.
These play structures are big enough that kids can climb all over them and keep them busy while waiting for flights.
“We are so excited at Fisher-Price to bring these play gates to the community here in Western New York,” Scothon said. “Fisher-Price turns 90 this year and it’s really been a part of Western New York forever and we are thrilled to bring play to kids around the world and the most important ones right now are here in Western New York.”
These structures can be found by gate 2, gate 9 and between gates 19 and 21.
