Ellicott Street between Chippewa and Tupper streets in Buffalo remains closed following a partial building collapse that happened just after 7 a.m. Wednesday.

It's the same building that partially collapsed in August.

In this case, firefighters say there were no injuries; however, the building has to be fully demolished.

"Right now because the way the building is shifting and we can visible see evidence of that roof slide,” said Buffalo Fire Chief Michael Tuberdyke. “We're gonna expand the area of a potential collapse and isolate that area so that if it does come down it won't potentially impact any other buildings.”

The building housed Two Wheels Bakery and Cafe and several apartments. Because of the state of the building, after August's partial-collapse, the baker was not able to continue business or enter to get her equipment.

"Because she had a lot invested in the business itself, it was my understanding that she had found a new location. She wanted to move this equipment to her new location. She was not able to unfortunately," said Lou Petrucci, Department of Permits and Inspection Services deputy commissioner.

The building owner will be given the bill for demolishing the building. Any future development would have to go through the appropriate chain of command.
