Western New York Heroes, Inc., has received a donation to help support veterans across the region.
Spectrum and its employees donated $2,500 to the organization.
The Williamsville non-profit provides financial services as well as linking local veterans and their families with organizations that can help with food, clothing, therapy dogs and even free vehicle repairs.
Advocates say it's donations like these that help them make a difference for veterans in all 12 counties surrounding the area.
"The community support, whether it's the single individual, whether it's the small business or the large corporation, or where we start getting county backing, that is where we're able to do what we do,” said Chris Kreiger, the organization’s president.
That donation was made from the Spectrum Employee Community Grants, a program helping people in 41 states across the U.S.
