Millard Fillmore, Abraham Lincoln and Grover Cleveland are just a few of the presidents who left their mark in Buffalo by paying the city a visit during their terms.
But they aren't the only ones.
Explore Buffalo wants to share that rich history with people through their new Presidential Bus Tour.
It’s different from their presidential walking tour because it will go more in-depth.
The three-hour tour starts at the Theodore Roosevelt Historic Site on Delaware Avenue where travelers hop on a bus and visit 19 different sites.
At the sites, guests can learn more about the tragic death of President William McKinley in 1901, Abraham Lincoln’s multiple visits to Buffalo, and Grover Cleveland’s political rise in Buffalo.
It’s something Brad Hahn, Explore Buffalo’s executive director, is excited to share with people.
“We are thrilled to be adding it to the list of tours,” Hahn said. “We now have 80 tours that Explore Buffalo offers to educate people about the incredible history that happened here in Buffalo.”
The inaugural tour is this Saturday, September 21, and the tour will be offered monthly.
General admission is $40 and $35 for Explorer Pass Holders.
Reservations must be made prior to the trip and can be done here.
