The 190 South in Niagara Falls has reopened after a fatal crash overnight.

The crash happened around 3:30 a.m. Thursday near exit 21, just past the North Grand Island Bridge.

According to New York State Police, the driver of a 2003 Jeep Wrangler was traveling south when they attempted to avoid two dogs in the road. The vehicle overturned, killing one person.

Drivers were detoured away from the exit and were able to cross the street and get back on the highway.

The road reopened around 6:30 a.m.
