MANATEE COUNTY, Fla. — The new school year is approaching and the District of Manatee County wants to ensure that parents, guardians and residents are aware of the slight changes in the schedules for elementary, middle and high schools.

Beginning August 12, 2019, all public elementary schools will begin at 8:25 a.m. and end at 3:15 p.m., which is five-minutes earlier than last year.

This doesn’t affect middle or high school start times, with the exception of students attending Louise R. Johnson K-8 School of International Studies and Palm View K-6.

Those students will follow the elementary school schedule.

All other public middle schools will begin at 9:20 a.m. and high schools will start their school day at 7:30 a.m.  

Here are the listed start and end times for Manatee District Schools:                                

  • High Schools   7:30 a.m. - 2:25 p.m. 
  • Elementary Schools   8:25 a.m. - 3:15 p.m
  • Middle Schools     9:20 a.m. - 4:10 p.m.
