GARNER, N.C. -- A Garner man has been arrested and charged with felony cruelty to animals after police say he killed a puppy.
Warrants say 25-year-old Shawnesse Valencia maliciously beat and tortured a black and white 2-month-old female pit bull mix.
They say the puppy died as a result.
He's being held in the Wake County Detention Center.
