Dozens of Buffalonians couldn't resist dressing up for a "Great Gatsby" themed celebration at Buffalo's Central Terminal on Saturday in honor of the iconic building's 90th birthday.

To celebrate the occasion, guests wore vintage dresses and suits from the Flapper Era.

Many in the terminal are hopeful that Buffalo's Central Terminal will roar once again— just as it did in the 1920s if it is fully restored.

"The building was dedicated, opened June 22, 1929 and really in the ups and downs of the Central Terminals. [When] it fell into disarray our volunteers brought it back and its really a significant red letter date  to have it in 2019," said President of Central Terminal Restoration Corporation, Mark Lewandowski

He believes the building is a crucial piece for the east side, and as the terminal comes along surrounding neighborhoods are going to develop as well.
