SAN ANTONIO -- A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for northwestern Bexar County and will remain in effect until 1:30 a.m. Monday.

The possibility exists for hail and 70 mph wind gusts. The hail could be significant enough to damage roods, siding, windows and vehicles.
By 2 a.m., CPS Energy reported 36,247 customers without powers throughout its service area.
At least one water rescue was reported in Bexar County, on San Pedro Avenue at Elmira Street.
Earlier in the evening powerful storms moved through portions of Williamson County, and at one point a tornado warning was issued for Kerr and Gillespie counties.
