Albion police say the Facebook post threatening a school was the result of a student's Facebook account being hacked from Croatia.

According to police, an unknown person in Croatia took over the Albion Central School student's Facebook profile through a malware attack.

They say incidents like this have happened throughout the country and ensure the threat was not credible.

Police say there will be an increased presence at the Albion School. 

Albion police also add you should change your social media account passwords frequently.
