Visitors at the Albright-Knox Art Gallery on Saturday were able to get a closer look at proposed renovations.
At the end of the year, the gallery will close for renovations for two years.
On Saturday, posters of the new layout were put on display for visitors to review. It was also an opportunity for people to ask questions about the new sculpture installation that will cover the courtyard.
Discussions over the $150 million project began in 2015.
"It's very much a blueprint of expectation," said Suzann Denney. "The expectation of art is to continue to change and borrow from something has come before, both in terms of the collection and what is to come."
During renovations, a second gallery will be open on northland avenue and an art bus will drive around the buffalo community.
