If you love maple syrup, you're in luck. It's Maple Weekend in New York State.

More than 180 farms and museums are showing visitors just how farmers make the delicious syrup.

Smith's Maple Farm in Hamburg produces between 300-400 gallons of maple a year. They also make products like maple candy, sugar, cream and barbeque sauce.

The owner says this event is a great opportunity for New Yorkers to see what's made in their own backyard.

"We have the climate that allows us to make maple syrup," said Smith's Maple Farm Owner, Carl Smith. "We're one of the seven or eight states that can make maple syrup in the U.S."
