A fire destroyed a Grand Island home Monday morning.

The flames started on Stony Point Road just before 7 a.m.

The house was under renovation and no one was inside at the time.

Firefighters said the cold temperatures caused a hydrant in front of the house to freeze, creating some trouble for them.

The house is considered a complete loss.
