Buffalo’s popular interactive party hip-hop karaoke was remixed to the slow pace of R&B for a night.
The event draws performers from all of over the Queen City, including the boys in blue.
Four Buffalo police officers performed in front a crowd for Valentine’s Day — the spin-off of Hip-Hop Karaoke: R&B Karaoke.
DJ Gabby Arthur discovered the event on a trip to London and brought it back to Buffalo.
"We've had lots of lines out the door and people not being able to get in — its definitely more mainstream than when we started a few years ago," said Arthur.
Officers Armonde "Moe" Badger, Michael Norwood Jr., Cameron Fryer and Joe Tyson told Spectrum News this is a different way of community policing.
"Showing love and compassion towards each other and that's what the music can do," said Badger.
Badger and Norwood were recently featured singing in a viral video.
The two also run a nonprofit organization called C.O.P.S.S. which stands for Children Overcoming Police Stereotypes through Sports.
