The owner of a landmark restaurant in the Queen City has died.

Blondine Harvin ran Gigi's restaurant for decades.

Mayor Byron Brown tweeted out a picture Thursday with Harvin, calling her a "Buffalo icon."

She passed away on Wednesday.

Gigi's restaurant was destroyed by a fire back in 2015.

The soul food restaurant will soon reopen at the Northland Workforce Training Center.
