The Queen City has a new Miss Buffalo.

Taisha St. Jean, 23, claimed the title Saturday night.

Ten finalists squared off at Shea's 710 Theatre, vying for a $5,000 scholarship.

The Miss Buffalo organization provides educational and career opportunities for young women, while raising money for the Children's Miracle Network.

The new Miss Buffalo says she's thrilled about the scholarship and for the chance to represent her city.

"I just love it! I love Buffalo! I've been here all my life and to be able to represent a place that gave so much to me it's about time and I will make everyone proud I’m miss New York,” said St. Jean.

Next she will compete in the Miss New York competition which is set for next weekend.
