HAMBURG, N.Y. -- Conor Long, who died over the weekend while hiking at Zoar Valley, spent his 20 years here leading a life to aspire to.
The 2017 Hamburg High graduate Long raised money for charity through Bald for Bucks and coached track and field. He was class president and a student representative on the Hamburg Town Board.
More than 1,000 people gathered on the school's football field, most wearing black or the school color, purple.
One of Long's former teachers didn't want to go on camera, but said that he hopes his own son grows up to #BeLikeConor.
