ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- A 56-year-old man was hospitalized Thursday morning after he was hit by a vehicle while riding his moped.
The crash occurred just before 8 a.m. on 5th Avenue North, just west of 16th Street.
The man was hit by a Prius and was transported to Bayfront Health in critical condition.
The crash shut down 5th Avenue between 16th Street and 20th Street while police investigate.
No other information has been released.
