BUFFALO, N.Y. — The Queen City is ringing in the New Year with some new additions to the annual ball drop event.
In celebration of its 30th year, there will be featured performances by local musicians including Will Holton and Caitlin Koch, as well as a new laser show.
The Buffalo Ball Drop is the second largest New Year’s Eve event in the state, and this year is expected to be the biggest party yet.
"In its 30th year, the ball drop and fireworks display has become an annual tradition that keeps getting bigger and better, and downtown buffalo is ready to celebrate the best New Year's Eve yet," said Mayor Byron Brown.
Free parking will be available at nearby Buffalo Civic Auto Ramps. The NFTA has also extended the metro rail service past midnight, with the last outbound train leaving at 2 a.m.
