BUFFALO, N.Y. -- A dorm on the D'Youville College campus will get much needed upgrades, thanks to a $100,000 grant.
The money will help support the $470,000 remodel of four floors of Marguerite Hall.
The project will include the renovation of 28 dorm rooms, four student lounges and eight restrooms.
Much of the funding will be used to add state-of-the-art technology to the building, which was built in 1966.
"This was one of the things that was at the top of the list when I came and I met with students when I first arrived on campus," said Dr. Lorrie Clemo, Co This was something that they were looking for that they said would improve their learning, was to be able to have better access to books, in terms of their online resources, so that's what we decided to put the money toward."
New York State Sen. Tim Kennedy (D-62) played a part in securing the grant. He's a member of the class of 1999.
