Hudson is one of 10 recipients of state funding as part of the Downtown Revitalization Initiative, Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced Tuesday afternoon at Hudson Hall at the Historic Hudson Opera House.
The historic venue recently underwent an $8.5 million renovation, with $3 million of that money coming from the state.
Now in its second year, the Downtown Revitalization Initiative awards grants to cities across the state that have the potential for transformation. Hudson is one of 10 communities across the state receiving the first-place $10 million grant.
Revitalizing a downtown not only boosts businesses and the local economy, but also benefits the residents who call them home. https://t.co/vqawyT1k8F
