WILLIAMSTOWN, N.Y. -- People living in Oswego County are cleaning up after overnight thunderstorms and fierce winds.
Trees came crashing down, taking power lines with them in some areas.
Williamstown resident Jillian Smith says in her whole life, she's never heard such strong winds.
Saturday morning, her property was covered in tree limbs, branches, and downed maple trees.
She says the weather this summer just isn't cooperating and this might have been the worst yet.
"I think it was at like 4 or 5 this morning it just got wicked wicked windy, thunder and lighting," Smith said. "I looked out the bedroom window and maple trees were blowing hard as I've ever seen them blow. And then the power went out. When we got out we realized the trampoline was in the field behind our house."
Power has been restored to homes in the county.
The North Country also saw damage.
Potsdam, Canton and Russell all had reports of trees and wires down according to the National Weather Service.
