SPECTRUM NEWS VIDEO: The Greater Binghamton Regional Airport is now open after a month-long project to resurface the runway. The project cost $11.9 million and was completed on schedule. With three departing and three arriving flights to Detroit daily, travelers are hoping the new runway brings more destinations. A new program features more than 40 area businesses who have pledged to book a majority of their flights out of Binghamton and will promote additional use of the airport. Officials say the program will help fill flights to at least 90 percent capacity, which makes airlines interested in expanding service.
