GARDINER, N.Y. -- Some people finding courage for a good cause Saturday, dropping down to raise awareness and funding for autism.

The second annual Leap for Autism came through Greystone Programs, an advocacy group headquartered in Hopewell Junction.

"My youngest son was diagnosed with autism in 2015 with Aspergers, and I didn't know where to turn and so I'm so grateful and privileged to work for such an excellent organization like Greystone, who provides resources, information, for people like me," said Sara Greenberg-Hoye, Greystone Programs director of development.

In total, she says about 50 people agreed to skydive, surpassing the fundraising goal of $50,000.
