NEW YORK - An MTA bus caught fire on a Manhattan street Thursday just as the morning rush was getting underway.
Firefighters responded to the scene at Lexington Avenue near 45th Street around 7 a.m. where an M101 bus was burning.
The scene was declared under control less than an hour later, with no reports of any injuries.
The MTA says no passsengers were on board at the time.
The agency says the fire occured in the back of the bus where the engine is located.
It's not yet clear what may have caused it.
