Buffalo Zoo Polar Bears Go on 'First Date'

BUFFALO, N.Y. -- The Buffalo Zoo’s polar bears, Luna and Sakari, got an early Valentine’s Day treat Saturday.

That's when zoo planned the pair's first official date, which consisted of love-themed snacks and special enrichment throughout the day.

The 4-year-old bears have been living together for a couple weeks now and have been seen playing with one another. The zoo hopes they'll eventually breed as part of a special survival plan.
