FAIRPORT, N.Y. -- Fairport fire investigators have determined the weekend fire that damaged two restaurants on Main Street is not suspicious.
The fire started with heavy smoke coming out of Yummies Frozen Yogurt around 7 p.m. Sunday.
Firefighters arrived to find the fire had spread next door to to Compane Brick Oven Bistro.
The bistro had been closed for renovations at the time. That same restaurant was damaged by fire on New Year's Day 2011.
It took about 40 minutes for fire crews to bring the fire under control.
Fairport fire chief Logan Muster says they're still investigating the cause.
