NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. -- A decayed body was found around 3 p.m. Tuesday behind Cataract Steel on Mackenna Avenue in Niagara Falls, according to police.

The body was found covered with overgrown brush along with debris dumped in the area, and police said it was decomposed to the point where fingerprints could not be obtained.

Police said visual identification isn't possible, but it appears to be that of an adult white male.

An autopsy determined multiple stab wounds as the cause of death. DNA testing and dental records will be used to make a positive identification.
