NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. -- An investigation Wednesday evening in Niagara Falls was in relation to a small explosion on a park basketball court one night before.

According to a city spokesperson, possible remnants from Tuesday night's incident were gathered and collected into evidence. The spokesperson emphasized items collected were not an explosive device.

One Tuesday, several neighbors in the area of Main Street and Pierce Avenue called 911 around 8:30 p.m. saying they saw a flash and heard an explosion. Residue was observed on the Legends Park basketball court.

The FBI confirmed agents are assisting with Wednesday's investigation.
