BUFFALO, N.Y. -- People paying respects Friday to Larry Owens, affectionately known as "Larry the Peanut Man" at Bisons and Sabres games, were asked to enjoy a bag of peanuts in his honor.
Owens was the very first person that the Bisons hired prior to the opening of the ballpark back in 1988.
Owens died on Sunday at the age of 71.
