BUFFALO, N.Y. -- The new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie comes out Friday, but some lucky fans got an early look at a special screening in Buffalo Thursday night.

A major action sequence in "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows" was shot on the 33 last year.

People in the surrounding neighborhood and some local youth groups were invited to the screening.

Actor Gary Anthony Williams, who plays Bebop in the film, said it's refreshing to see film crews taking over cities other than Los Angeles.

"Frankly, we can't fake every location, so it's nice when you have other places, especially smaller communities, that aren't LA," said Williams. "Other communities to get involved in. I think it's really exciting."

Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon Movies spent an estimated $7 million in Buffalo while shooting.
