Leaders in Forestville have three weeks to revise and approve a plan to dissolve the village. Voters approved dissolution last year.

Tuesday night, CGR, a non-profit government management company, presented its plan on how to handle the process. The town of Hanover will eventually handle all of the clerical and administrative duties of the village. All of the services the village presently provides will be managed through special districts. Many committee members are worried about what will happen to the village's fire company.

"If the village dissolves, the fire department will have to go somewhere. They'll go to the town of Hanover and become a fire district of one sort or another. If the dissolution happens. If the dissolution doesn't happen for whatever reason, then they're back to square one," said Kevin Johnson, village of Forestville mayor.

There must still be a public hearing before the plan gets final approval. Leaders say the dissolution process should be complete early next year.
