A Schenectady nursing assistant was accused of stealing a wedding ring from one of her patients while on the job.
According to the attorney general's office, 24-year-old Jessicka Cohen stole the ring back in July of last year at the Saratoga Center for Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center.
She allegedly then tried to sell the ring in Ballson Spa.
The attorney general's office says Cohen's actions do not reflect nursing aides overall.
"The aides and the nurses as a general rule all try to do a great job. But there are the bad apples out there that don't do their job, that don't do it well, and some of them do steal from the residents. And that's why our office is here.
Cohen pled not guilty to grand larceny and possession of stolen property.
