BATAVIA, N.Y. -- A Batavia man is dead after being hit by a pick-up truck Saturday night at the intersection of Main and Bank Streets.
Batavia police say the driver of the pick-up was heading west on Main Street around 7 p.m. when he struck Joseph Ogozaly, 58. He was transported by Mercy Flight to Strong Hospital, where he died from his injuries.
Officers say they believe Ogozaly was in the crosswalk at the time of the crash.
The investigation is ongoing, and there are no charges against the driver at this time.
