WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. -- A convicted felon from Williamsville is accused of using victims' personal information to make nearly $20,000 in fraudulent purchases at JC Penney, Best Buy, Kohl's and Verizon.

David Miller, 51, faces several felony counts of forgery.

In July 2014, Eastern Hills Mall contacted the Erie County Sheriff's Office after learning Miller was making suspicious transactions at a department store. He was arrested through the use of store documents and surveillance videos, according to deputies.

Authorities learned Miller worked at an area collection agency, and while working there, he allegedly used victims' personal information to open several store accounts.
