GRAND ISLAND, N.Y. - A New York State Trooper was rushed to the hospital late Saturday night after being hit by a car on a busy highway.
It happened on the 190-south between the Whitehaven Road and Long Road exits.
State Police confirmed to Time Warner Cable News that an accident reconstruction team was headed to the scene around 10:45 P.M. So far, all southbound lanes on the 190 are closed between the two exits. There's no word on when it might reopen.
Shortly after 11 P.M. Saturday night, State Police announced the trooper has non-life threatening injuries. They're not releasing any other information at this time.
