BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Employees and customers at a McDonald's restaurant on the city's east side are being credited with taking down a man who shot and tried to rob a customer Saturday afternoon.
The shooting happened around 2:30 p.m. at the McDonald's at the intersection of Grider Street and East Delevan Avenue. Police said a man in line at the restaurant shot a customer while trying to rob him. The suspect also shot himself in the hand. Employees and customers held the man until police arrived.
Both were taken to ECMC with non-lifethreatening injuries.
