SCHENECTADY, N.Y. -- Police arrested a Schenectady man after they said he stabbed and killed another man.
Police arrested Stanley Morris, 45, and charged him with second degree murder. Police said the stabbing happened at Yates Village near VanVranken Avenue around 4 p.m. Friday where officials found James Jackson, who was stabbed several times.
Jackson was taken to Ellis Hospital where he died from his injuries. Neighbors said the violence has made them uneasy.
"You can't have a dispute with someone without someone wanting to kill you," said one neighbor.
"It's unfortunate regardless what time of day it happens, whether it's in the morning, afternoon or evening. Nobody should be robbed of their life," said
Neighbors also say there were children just getting out of school in the area when the stabbing happened.
