ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Two people pleaded guilty to possession of stolen goods after they tried to sell stolen oil on eBay.

34-year old Igor Kasap and 29-year old Arkadiy Kasap pleaded guilty to the charge on Monday in federal court.

Prosecutors say the two owned ASAP Trans Incorporated, a shipping business on Trolley Blvd. in Rochester.

The company was involved with shipping pallets of synthetic jet engine oil from New Jersey to Oregon when one of those pallets was stolen.

The Kasaps then advertised the oil, valued at about $14,000 on eBay.

The helpful ad alerted police who set up an undercover sting operation.

The two face ten years in prison at sentencing in January.
