NORTH CHILI, N.Y.-- The past 2,920 days haven't been easy for Barb Sullivan and her family. On this day, things aren't any better.

"I don't know if it's harder, it's just having to do something like this," she said.

For an eighth year, she's stood in front of news cameras, pleading for anyone to come forward with information about what happened to her son, Brian Sullivan.

"We are going to do what we have to do and we will never stop looking," Barb said.

The 19-year-old was last seen in the early morning hours in a Gates Burger King parking lot back in 2007. His car was found a short distance away near a wooded area.

Since Brian vanished, investigators and police have not stopped following where leads may take them. In May, they even took a second look at Chili Avenue and Cairn Street in Rochester.

Monroe County investigators told us on Wednesday they believe they're getting closer to an answer.

To help generate more leads, Barb announced a billboard will be put up July 16.

"Brian and another local missing person, Dominique Holley-Grisham, who's been missing since Feb. 12, 2009, will be going up on the corner of West Ave and Buffalo Road," Barb said.

Barb said knowing the feeling of not knowing is driving her to help other families going through the same thing.

"Just to get their picture out there or their face so people don't forget," Barb said.

As another year marking his disappearance, Brian is missing special moments.

“His sister is getting married in a couple of weeks,” Barb said.

Barb said it's time the family gets some closure.

"Just help us bring our boy home," she said.

The family also announced efforts to raise $4,000 for a search and rescue dog. They'll be holding a fundraiser around Thanksgiving. More information on that will be released at a later time.
