BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Some of the technical equipment used for shooting scenes from "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: Half Shell" - cables, generators, and lighting cranes - still line Humboldt Parkway, next to Route 33.

"It was a good experience. This the first time that we've experienced something like that in the city," said Edwin Aponte, a neighbor.

For two weeks, Edwin Aponte had to deal with a crane and the noise from the movie production every night right outside his house at the corner of Humboldt and Winslow. He says he didn't really mind.

"Just lock yourself up in the room, turn the fan and you weed out the sounds, you know.  It was a good experience for the city, that's the main thing. It wasn't something that's going to happen everyday so, for the short inconvenience, it wasn't so bad," said Aponte.

"I think the neighbors here found a little bit of Hollywood in their front yards really and it really worked our pretty well," said Buffalo Film Commissioner Tim Clark.

Clark said the production was a huge success that would not have been possible without the cooperation of the community.

"I'm very very grateful. I think the city owes them a debt of gratitude, they've sort of put up with us for the last two weeks and it was good for the city and good for the neighborhood too," said Clark.

With all the jobs created and crews staying in the city and taking in local restaurants and stores, early estimates said the movie would pump about $7 million into the economy.

For Aponte, that's more than enough reason to put up with the inconvenience and hope for more movies to be filmed in Buffalo.

"That'll be great. Bring it on, bring it on," said Aponte.
