A long manhunt for a man police considered armed and dangerous is finally over after 26-year-old Corey Redmond was arrested on the Onondaga Nation Tuesday without incident.
Redmond was arraigned in the Town of Onondaga Court on a number of felony charges, including menacing a police officer, assault, reckless endangerment, criminal possession of a weapon and criminal mischief.
Authorities said Redmond fired a gun at emergency workers responding to a fire earlier this month.
There were reports from the Onondaga Indian Nation that a healing ceremony was held for Redmond aimed at getting him to surrender peacefully.
A mandatory not guilty plea was entered on Redmond's behalf.
He's being held on $500,000 cash bail.
