DEPEW, N.Y. -- A 26-year-old man faces arson and burglary charges after Depew Police arrested him as he was fleeing the scene of a suspicious fire at a Depew health services company.

Investigators said Alexander MacArthur was arrested after a foot chase around 5 a.m. Saturday morning.

Officers said they were called to the scene by a burglar alarm and than a fire alarm activation at HealthWorks Western New York on Transit Road.

They said they watched MacArthur break a window to exit the burning building. He's currently at the Erie County Holding Center.

Fire crews said an arson dog found four spots that could be indicators of foul play.

They said the building suffered more than a million dollars in damage. The exact cause remains under investigation.

Police said there may be more charges filed. MacArthur is due back in court Thursday.
