ANGOLA, N.Y. — An Air Force vet from Angola braved the elements on a 100-mile bike ride to raise money for local veterans.

Kurtiss Driscoll took off on his bicycle from Columbus Park in Buffalo Saturday morning.

For the second year in a row, Driscoll biked along the Erie Canal to Rochester to raise money for area vets and their families.

That's thanks to a partnership with the nonprofit Western New York Heroes and sponsorships from Note, Advisors as well as Tallchief Territory in Irving.

Driscoll spent four years in the Air Force and says he began the fundraiser as a way to help former service members struggling with life outside the military.

There's no word yet on the final total Driscoll raised this year.
