BUFFALO, N.Y. — Living on the streets is a daily reality for some.

Now, one local pastor is giving up his comforts for an entire week to remind people of the struggles faced by the homeless population every day.

Pastor Eric Johns, of the Buffalo Dream Center, will take to a life on the streets for five days. He plans to sleep outside or in shelters and will eat in soup kitchens to draw awareness to the struggles of people who are less fortunate.

Johns has done this for 22 years and will be joined by his teenage sons.

It's all part of Boxes of Love — a Christmas campaign with the goal of giving food to more than 3,000 families this holiday season.
